Imported from Barbados in Feb 1975. Has had 6 owners since. I have had it since Dec 1990. Completely stripped in May 1995 as paint was in very poor condition. Left standing till Jan 2009 as I was too busy in our MG business. The car was Zeibart rustproofed as a new car in UK before shipping to Barbados. It was re-rustproofed with Gold Seal by me in 1987. I replaced the left and right floors when rebuilding. (they had a little rust along the front outside edges but no rust found anywhere else. It has only ever had a few minor dents and all panels are original and no rust in the guard seams. The body was repainted with Lacquer. The motor has had new main and big-end bearings, cam bearings and shaft, piston rings (it only has .003” bore wear) and all seals, rockers bushes and shaft. It has a brand new gearbox converted with a rebuilt Overdrive. I have fitted an air switch as per the early models so it can’t be switched out of O/D with a trailing throttle - you must accelerate or blip the throttle. I have fitted a brake booster and overhauled the calipers and new rear cylinders. All the suspension bushes have been replaced as have the diff seals and thrusts. The dash has been resprayed, gauges overhauled and all upholstery panels replaced and seat rebuilt. I have fitted the later model centre consol. It had a new hood, has a tonneau cover and bar, and storage bags. Windscreen seals replaced. It comes with a Factory hard top that is in good condition but needs painting. Also have waterproof car cover.
Total mileage is 124050 mls. I have some spares that are optional – lenses, grille parts, window winder etc.
