This well-known car was owned by the late Geoff Bonham and raced in the LeisureTime series that he sponsored (now the ERC series). A guest drive by 'Racing' Ray Williams and also driven by Glen Thompson, before passing to me. It was then sold a couple of times and ended in the ownership of the late Steve Harris, where it languished in his estate until I repurchased it, hoping to keep it as an 'academy car' for the ERC Series, but it had been a bit neglected.
It is not now nor has it ever been a concours car and is best described as well used, needing a thorough going over and tidy up. The registration is on hold and it has personalised plates 7T BGT. Some money has been spent on it recently, but I do need to sell urgently as I'm no longer able to garage it and I don't have the time to work on it.
Four Rostyle wheels and 6 Performance alloys, new battery and overhauled carburettors so it starts and runs well and I believe it has a stage 1 cylinder head. Overdrive. Brakes and clutch slave have been done, new muffler. New rubber seat bases and two spare seats with headrests, but the interior isn't very tidy, nor the instrumentation, although the seats themselves are undamaged. Woodrim steering wheel. Ideal base for a race car and it already has a half cage.
This is priced to sell and one of the cheapest running, chrome bumper MGB's, you'll find anywhere. I remember is as handling really well and enjoyable to drive.
Car is situated in Birkenhead but I can trailer it if required.
Offers around $13,000.
